The Pokemon Universe Gamechanger

Posted by TheGamechanger - February 11th, 2015

This variant of the Gamechanger was born and raised in the Orre region.  He was proving to be a child prodigy when it came to Pokemon battling, and he was always kindhearted and loving towards his Pokemon.  So much so that it got to a point in which a young Lugia (It's the baby Lugia from the anime! It's just recently grown up enough to live independent from others) willingly let itself get caught by him without a fight, simply because the Lugia wanted to be with him due to how loving and caring he was to his own Pokemon.  All was well in the world.

...and then Cipher showed up.  They kidnapped his parents (turns out they are experts on Lugia, making them indispensible sources of information), knocked him paralyzed, and he was unable to move as both his parents and his beloved Pokemon were taken away by Cipher.  The name of the person responsible for that attack?  Ardos.

He never was the same after that.  The first person to come to aid was his great-uncle, Eagun.  His great-uncle taught him many of the legends and myths that surround legendary and mythical Pokemon, from Kanto to Kalos.  When he was finally ready take on Cipher with his new crew of tough Pokemon, he wanted to journey across the ocean for he had a hunch that Cipher's main headquarters wasn't in Orre itself.  He thought the headquarters were in Unova.  He went on the best ship, the S.S. Libra, and prepared himself for a two-month cruise. The first three weeks out on the open ocean was intially sunny and calm, but then on the fourth week it became very stormy.

...and that's when Shadow Lugia attacked.  He was on deck when the attack happened, so he had a very clear view of Shadow Lugia.  Its appearance was heavily corrupted, but there was enough individual characteristics left to identify it as the exact same Lugia that Cipher stolen from him.  He knew that it had to be Cipher's doing being this attack.

When Shadow Lugia dropped the S.S. Libra is the desert, everyone escaped and was accounted for....except for him.  When Eagun heard the news that amoung the missing were that of his dear relative, he assumed the worst and thus never spoke of him during the events of Pokemon XD.  It turns out that he carefully sneaked away so that everyone will assume he's dead, since he knows that Cipher is most likely watching the news broadcasts and thus can take them on by surprise.

He never got the chance to use that surprise attack, for he was beaten to the punch by Micheal.  After Micheal has caught and purified Shadow Lugia, he traded it back to Tyler (aka Gamechanger).  He has reuntied with his parents soon after.  Ten years later, Tyler has become the Pokemon World Champion and is the founder of the International Police (he's Looker's head boss!).  He also has his own massive flying fortress of power which is his main base of operations, which is where several Gym Leaders, Elite Four members, regional Champions, and even regular trainers challenge him to a Pokemon battle.  His base is also home to the Champion Gardens, which is the absolute easiet place to get Shiny Pokemon (1 in 4 chance of being Shiny!) and Hidden Abilities, and is also the main source for the majority of the Mystery Gift distributions (which means that you can easily find and catch every Pokemon in the National Pokedex, including legendary and mythical Pokemon).

Pokemon World Champion Tyler wears modified Cipher Peon armor that's black with rainbow TRON lines.  All of the spherical parts on the armor is a brilliant golden Pokeball design.  His helmet's shape is altered so that it looks just like a Power Ranger helmet.

He discovered that Shadow Lugia wasn't a one-time only thing: while Cipher turned Lugia into Shadow Lugia via unnatural means, Tyler discovered a way to turn Lugia into Shadow Lugia via normal (and far less mind-altering) means.  It turns out that Shadow Lugia is naturally a Dark and Psychic type. Shadow Lugia's natural ability is Shadow Cloak, in which completely negates super-effective moves against it, and only not very effective moves can hurt it.  All other moves that would've damaged it just heal its HP.
